The Fall is definitely here now. With Halloween past, and Thanksgiving on the way, cooler, shorter days are at hand. Daylight savings time and the dark hours coming earlier and earlier is not the favorite time of year. We do however love the holiday season. It’s interesting and often challenging (emotionally) trying to make the transition between summer, fall and winter. It’s time to light as many warm candles as you can, and pull out the soup recipes! When you fill your home with light and love and good food, the darkness seems brighter.
This Nightshade Free Chili recipe is just as delicious as it’s bell pepper filled counterpart. But, if you’re like me and need to take nightshades (peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, tomatillos, and more) out of your diet, this is the recipe for you. It’s warming and filling just like traditional chili and honestly for the rest of the family it was a nice variation from the norm.
May your transition into the Fall and season of Thanks be filled with warm, glowing candle light and many delicious dinners with family and friends!
